What 'Lens' Do We See Mental Health Through?
An important question; but one not often asked. What nutritional, chemical or hormonal factors might be negatively affecting the brain and body? Real dis-ease in our Western culture is mainly rooted in nutrient deficient diet, sedentary lifestyle, chronic degree of stress and lack of sleep! Basic disruptions in body systems MIGHT look like mental distress. Likely it involves more body systems>not just the brain (except in rare cases that there is a tumor). For example; chronic inflammation might show up as bowel disease or diabetes but often it affects the heart too.
HEALTH PRACTICES FOR ALL

eat more healthy fats (omega 3's) - eat more lean protein (20-25%)
- avoid sugar highs (no junk food or sugar drinks)
- ease stress with more B & C vitamins, exercise/meditation/sleep.
