The West Virginia State Bar's Lawyer Referral Service Committee would like to introduce the new Lawyer Referral Service website! www.wvlawyerreferral.org. The new service is designed to provide a faster and easier way for the public to connect with attorneys who may be willing to take on new cases. Participants in the new Lawyer Referral Service can be searched by practice area and zip code.

PLLC Renewals
As of the end of November, only 123 PLLCs have properly filed their annual registrations with the State Bar. The due date for renewals was July 1, 2012. If you are operating as a PLLC, and have not yet filed your 2012-13 renewal, please click here to print, complete and mail in the renewal form. All forms should be submitted before December 31, 2012.

Supreme Court of Appeals
The Supreme Court of Appeals is requesting comment on Amendments to Rule 43 of the West Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure and Rule 56 of the Rules of Practice and Procedure for Family Court, addressing the payment of compensation to interpreters as provided by law.
