Expiration of Forwarding State Bar Mail by USPS
The United States Post Office will terminate the forwarding of mail from the old Kanawha Boulevard address to the current address on December 5, 2012. Please be sure the correct address for the State Bar is in your records. Incorrectly addressed mail will be returned to you by the Post Office. The State Bar will not be able to honor time sensitive mail received late due to an incorrect address. | State Bar Phone Number Changes
In order to better serve our members and the public, and to keep up with technology, the State Bar needs to replace its outdated phone system. As a result we are changing our phone numbers.

Delinquent Dues & FRD Compliance Reporting
If you have not paid membership dues and submitted FRD Compliance reports, you are past due and owe late fees. If requirements are not met by November 19, 2012, your membership status will be moved to suspended for nonpayment and/or noncompliance.

WV Health Care Authority
The WV Executive Branch recently updated its HIPAA Preemption analysis, which may be found here. There is also a summary and flow chart explaining the mechanics of HIPAA preemption. While it is produced annually to support the Executive Branch's internal privacy compliance, it may be useful to others and serves as a database of all health information laws in WV.
