Dear Friends,
I received some thrilling news this week: my acceptance letter as a signature member of the Pastel Society of America. This means I can add the lauded "PSA" to my signature on my paintings. Some of you might be surprised to hear this, but these three letters--PSA--mean as much or more to me than the Ph.D. I earned eighteen years ago. This milestone certainly took me more time, and at least as much hard work and determination to earn. I am humbled to be included among some very impressive company.
I am excited to be participating in several group shows this summer, including New England Perceived, the Copley Society's Summer Members' Show, a Marine Invitational Show at the Falmouth Art Center, the Connecticut Pastel Society's 2012 Signature Member Exhibition in Old Lyme, CT, Pastels by Invitation at the Chatham Art Center, and For Pastels Only on Cape Cod in South Yarmouth. Details on several of these shows, as well as gallery information for summer shows in my regular galleries, can be found below.
There is still time to sign up for my two-day Seascape workshop at Terry Ludwig's Studios July 21-22. Informational meeting for next year's Provence Plein Air painting trip is this Thursday June 7 at the Concord Art Association. Check out the sidebar for a full list of summer classes!

Paint Waves in Colorado
Jeanne's 2-Day Seascape Workshop at Terry Ludwig Studios

Enjoy a weekend at the beach, a mile high, in the foothills of the Rockies. Hosted at Terry Ludwig Studios. An in-depth study of sea and beachscapes in pastels. You'll leave feeling confident with water in motion, and washed up on shore. All levels welcome. Nothing is more fun than a workshop at Terry's! The pastel 'candy store' is to die for! Copley Society Summer Members Show, "New England Perceived"

Sosebee Summer Work
4 Old South Wharf, Nantucket MA  A new tide of waves has washed ashore at Sosebee's on Nantucket--if you are on the island stop in, say hello to Doug and Debbie Sosebee and check out the new artwork. I will be there for an artists' opening reception on Friday July 27 from 6-8 pm.
The gallery has a great wine and cheese reception every Friday evening, if you're there.
