Fifth-year Jesuit Head Coach Marlon Blanton has regrouped following the Marauders' mediocre 5-5 season, as Big Red failed to make a post-season appearance for the second time in four years under Blanton's leadership. Jesuit defeatedGranite Bay 28-10 last Friday and travels into Folsom on Friday.

In direct contrast, Kris Richardson's Bulldogs are coming off a brilliant 14-1 campaign but open the season without a returning All-Metro quarterback for the first time in more than a decade, and are undergoing a restructuring phase of their own. Moreover, QB coaching guru Troy Taylor has moved on to the collegiate coaching ranks at Eastern Oregon.
Returning varsity backup quarterback Joe Curry got the call as starter in the season-opening home win for Folsom 55-36 over Coeur d'Alene (ID) last Friday. Curry completed 25 of 32 passes for an amazing 564 yards and six TDs.
Access Sacramento Executive Producer and Play by Play announcer Will James shared this year's broadcast schedule and provided an opportunity for those present to tour the new HD remote production truck.
CIF Hall of Famer and Access Sacramento football analyst Coach Jim Dimino, game director Roniecia Harris and truck engineer Richard Langley also represented the Game of the Week crew at the breakfast.
Each of the live broadcasts begin at 7pm and can be seen on Comcast and Consolidated Communications cable channel 17, AT&T U-Verse channel 14 and from both the AccessSacramento.org and NFHS Network websites.
