Volunteers talk with Filmmakers during the 2015 Cast & Crew Call
Actors of all types and ages will be needed. Film crews will be built including directors, producers, camera operators, audio equipment operators, plus helpers of all types including those who will work with lighting, finding locations, wardrobe, make-up, props and general production assistants.
Volunteers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend the Cast and Crew Call since the "A Place Called Sacramento" historically has been the entry point for many who have never worked on a movie before. "A Place Called Sacramento" is our region's first and original all-local film festival celebrating film makers in our area.
In total 157 films in the last 16 years have been completed by local scriptwriters. Each completed film is guaranteed playback on Access Sacramento's public access television channels, a world premiere big screen showing, and credit in the prestigious Internet Movie Database IMDB.com. Full festival information and rules are available at AccessSacramento.org
The 17th annual "A Place Called Sacramento" Film festival will premiere the 10 films at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at the historic downtown Crest Theatre.
