The best advice to community television producers: If you didn't shoot the video yourself, don't use it, and if you still need to use it, get permission from the creator. For radio producers, Access Sacramento pays licensing fees to the music licensing companies who handle rights for over-the-air radio station KUBU 96.5 FM and for the digital internet stream. More than 120 representatives of community broadcasters in public, educational and government access centers like Access Sacramento attended the conference to learn the latest about pending legislation, coordination of access centers and to share knowledge of common issues and concerns. The Alliance for Community Media West Region's next conference will be in Fresno, CA in March, 2017. This year's ACM national convention is in August in Boston, MA.
