We will be having a wonderful show, this Wednesday, October 7th on LiveWire. Sacramento Take Back The Night will be coming into the studio to speak about their event taking place on Saturday, October 10th. Banjo Bones will be coming to peform in the studio and talk about his upcoming show happening on October 30th.
Sacramento Take Back The Night is having their 36th annual rally and march on Saturday, October 10th. This event highlights the world wide need to end all forms of violence against women and children.
Banjo Bones is a root-based, storytelling artist/ musician that combines elements of blues, jazz, country and folk to create a lyrical, musical landscape. Banjo Bones will be playing in the Halloween Roots show on Saturday, October 30th.

Next Studio Recertification Class Tomorrow 6-9 PM
This Class is Only Available Free Through October

A recertification class is REQUIRED for all Access Sacramento members who are already certified to use the TV studio. These one-day three-hour sessions will teach how to use new studio tripods, a new teleprompter system, and to provide a refresher on studio safety requirements.
Members who do not pass the recertification class by November 1 will not be allowed to reserve the TV studio after that time.
After this nine-week free opportunity, a fee will be charged to take the class.

Suitcase-sized Kipor Portable Generator

A smaller gasoline power 2,000-watt generator powerful enough to allow community radio producers to broadcast with other new cell-phone based remote gear from almost any community event in Sacramento County. Radio Coordinator Shane Carpenter and Engineer Tim Parish will be creating the training and the operating procedures for using the new gear in the weeks ahead. Testing of the gear will commence once the receiving equipment is installed in KUBU's live studio two. Listerners can always tune in via the Internet from Access Sacramento.org or on mobile apps TuneIn Radio or Live365.
