Twirl Radio's Mike Lidskin Presents 700th Show This Saturday on KUBU 96.5 FM "The Voice of Sacramento"
|
Twirl Radio's Mike Lidskin
|
While KUBU 96.5 FM may have only signed on for over the air programming last November, some of our radio producers have been creating shows for "The Voice of Sacramento" as an Internet and cablecast for well more than a decade. Tune in Saturday, Oct. 3 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm for an extra long special program providing live interviews, special features and plenty of the music from the rock era that has made Twirl Radio a Sacramento standard for more than 15 years. Lidskin was named radio programmer of the year for Access Sacramento last year. He always posts his music line-up on his own website: www.twirlradio.com. Congratualtions Mike for both quality and longevity on KUBU, Sacramento's only community radio station: "The Voice of Sacramento" where U can B-U.

KUBU 96.5 FM Update
Planning for the One-Year Birthday and Holiday programs

Radio Programming Director Shane Carpenter's latest "Radiogram" gives radio producers plenty of items to keep consider for the next few weeks: - Recording special holiday programming for late December and New Year's is appreciated.
- The next radio producers meeting is Oct. 14 at 7pm in the Nevada City room of the Coloma Community Center.
- KUBU's November Birthday should be a great time to promote the station AND to Celebrate!
- A large group of radio producers is coming up on renewal of their $30 membership dues, and their first $96.50 special radio free for 2015.
- Four new September graduates for the radio class, and soon we'll hear several new shows on KUBU.
- Radio programs produced outside of the Access Sacramento studios should be turned in at the latest by 10am the day before the show airs, but 48 hours or more is better.
Overall, the over-the-air radio signal is sounding great, even as we try to compete with San Francisco's powerhouse FM broadcaster KOIT. Listerners can always tune in via the Internet from Access Sacramento.org or on mobile apps TuneIn Radio or Live365.
