Sacramento Video Industry Professionals (VIPs) Meet Tonight at Access Sacramento

Tonight's meeting of the Sacramento VIPs has special guest speaker David Ainsworth from Alchemy FX in Sacramento. Alchemy specializes in helping filmmaker create practical effects (those seem by the camera) with costumes and makeup. Movies like the new Star Wars and Mad Max Fury Road created many of their effects without the use of animation and other digital effects trickery. Meeting starts at 7pm, with socializing and snacks at 6:30. The session will be held in the auditorium of the Coloma Community Center. A $5 admission for a prize drawing is requested.

Museums and Summer fun on LiveWire Tomorrow 5pm
Museum of Wonder and Delight & Chalk It Up
We have a wonderful and delightful show happening this Wednesday on LiveWire. The Museum of Wonder and Delight will be talking about their grand opening happening on Friday, September 11th. Also joining us is Chalk It Up who is celebrating their 25th year starting on Saturday, September 5th.
Folsom's newest museum is, the Museum of Wonder & Delight. They are holding a three day Grand Opening event starting on Friday, September 11th. This museum features vintage toys, international folk art, holiday collectible memorabilia and more.
Chalk It Up is celebrating their 25th chalk art and music festival this Labor Day weekend starting Saturday, September 5th. Chalk It Up is a nonprofit that supports youth art in the Sacramento region. This annual family festival features; children's activities, live music, food and more.

New Tripods and Prompters Trigger Studio Recertification

New Libec Tripod Pedestals & Teleprompters

Access Sacramento members can enjoy new tripods in the TV studio. The new Libec pedestal tripod system allows for smooth camera movement. Each camera has a pedestal capability for easy up and down height adjustments, plus an 8-inch JVC viewfinder monitor and 17-inch teleprompter with a two way mirror for the EZ Prompt system. Because of the upgrade of new equipment, we are requiring all currently studio certified members to sign up for a three-hour recertification class before November 2015.

| The class will cover the new studio equipment in depth and serve as a refresher on studio safety and policy. Only currently certified studio members can take the recertification class. The class will be free from September until November 1st, 2015. After that, a fee will be charged to take the class.
