On-Call TV Production Assistant Applications Sought
In anticipation of the start of Friday night football on "Game of the Week" in the Fall and another series of Hometown TV events, Access Sacramento is seeking applicants for television production assistant. This position is part-time and on-call and will primarily be connected to television productions with Access Sacramento remote television truck. Some hours, however, may be scheduled in the main production office to help monitor the TV studio or check in and out portable equipment to members. Previous live or taped television studio production experience is required. Experience on a television crew during multiple-camera production with live-call camera operation, audio mixing, character generator operation, technical directing, and wireless cameras and microphones are preferred. Encina High School retiree and Hall of Fame inductee Cahtherine Simmons Survillas (Class of 1963) shared the story of her non-profit organization designed to help educate disadvantages children during a fund-raising event during the annual Encina Alumni Association celebration. In a slide show and talk on the same day as the school's annual alumni vs. student fundraising basketball game, Survillas outlined her work for "Iruri Primary School--Sharing a Vision" in Kenya. In the 12 months prior to this year's game, alumni donations have funded 16 programs, including new uniforms and equipment for six sports, library resources, band instruments, lasers for physics, and college scholarships.
