Board of Directors Selects New Leadership

JoAnn Fuller Reaches Term Limits
Jo Anna Davis Named New Chair

New Chair Jo Anna Davis reports on the year ahead during last Thursday's live televised Annual Membership Meeting
Jo Anna Davis serves now as the new Chair for the Board of Directors following her official appointment last week during the regular June Board meeting, just before the televised Membership meeting.

Davis brings a variety of professional and volunteers experience and is now in her second year on the Access Sacramento Board of Directors.  She was heavily involved on the board's Rebranding Committee which worked with the staff and members to select a new Logo for the launch of KUBU 96.5 FM and a replacement logo for Access Sacramento.

Davis replaces veteran chair JoAnn Fuller, who has served on the board, first as an appointee, and then through three two-year terms in an elected seat.

Fuller was honored with a BBQ reception with other board members and friends last Sunday at the home of Programming Committee Chair Ed Fletcher.
JoAnn Fuller (left) received a thank you gift from Jo Anna Davis during a recognition reception Sunday.
Out-going Board Chair JoAnn Fuller (left) receives a thank you gift from in-coming chair Jo Anna Davis at a recognition reception last Sunday.

Davis is meeting with individual board members as she starts her term of office and announced plans to support members and staff through reinvigorated fund raising efforts to support member services.

Congratulations also to Veronica Delgado, who was selected as the Board of Director's Vice-Chair during the May Board Meeting. Delgado's background as Membership Coordinator for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce brings valuable member-oriented experience to the Board.

Access Sacramento has hosted the Sacramento VIPs under it's non-profit umbrella throughout 2014, and Tuesday officially welcomes the VIPs permanently to the Coloma Community Center for its monthly gathering.

Here's a sample of what the 175 visitors saw:

Vendor VMI represents many manufacturers
JVC brought a full studio TV Camera set up.
Sony shares its XD180 camera an Laser Projector.
30' Jony Jib from Turlock gives Hands-on help.

Each month the Sac VIPs also hold a raffle to support its efforts.  This month the top prizes were a full software version of BlackMagic's Davinci Resolve color grading software, a copy of Shot Pro's storyboarding software, and video editing plug-ins from Digital Anarchy.

All future Sac VIPs monthly meetings will also be held in the Coloma Community Center Auditorium, but move to the last Tuesday of the month. (previously always on the last Wednesday.)
