computer-class.jpg

Access Sacramento's only Orientation Class for November is Wednesday the 19th at 6 p.m. at the Coloma Community Center.

RSVP by calling 916-456-8600 ext. 0.

Access Sacramento's regularly  scheduled  Orientation Sessions change next month because of the holidays. Normally, they are held twice every month on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Wednesday. November breaks that pattern.

Orientation classes are free and open to the public. They last a little more than an hour. The orientation class is also a required step in becoming an Access Sacramento member and should be taken at your earliest convenience.

The Orientation Class will give you a chance to ask questions and learn about our services and what we provide to the community and its members. We also will go over the standard classes we offer and member benefits as well as providing a tour of the radio and TV studios and digital media lab.

All classes are on a first come, first serve basis so signing up right away is crucial. We hope to see you there!

One Year in Planning & Construction
 Access Sacramento's KUBU 96.5 FM
is Ready!

Let the birthday party begin.

Thursday at 11 a.m. Access Sacramento's long time community cablecast and internet radio station "The Voice of Sacramento" becomes an over-the-air radio station:  KUBU-LP 96.5 FM.

Listen now on the Internet HERE.

KUBU's transmitter rack is now fully operational with remote access from the Coloma Community Center.
Meet some of the radio personalities who've been sharing their music, talk and entertainment skills over the years during a ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Coloma Community Center, 4623 T Street, Sacramento.

You can watch the ceremony LIVE on Access Sacramento on cable channel 17, AT&T U-Verse channel 14 or streaming on AccessSacramento.org.

Access Sacramento will reveal a new logo design for KUBU share a special fund-raising video with Indiegogo.com designed to help pay for the on-going costs of running the radio station.

The LP in KUBU-LP's name stands for low-power and it's a special category of radio station from the FCC that's focused on hyper-local broadcasting. For KUBU, that means the signal goes about five miles in any direction from downtown Sacramento.

In celebration of this new over-the-air outreach, Access Sacramento, the Sac Metro Chamber Commerce, and representatives of the Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission will officially launch KUBU-LP with a few comments, the actual ribbon-cutting, and a luncheon reception with birthday cake.

Attendees are invited to tour Access Sacramento's radio and TV studios and digital media lab after the ceremonies.

Closed for Veterans' Day

The Access Sacramento Offices and Coloma Community Center will be closed for Veterans' Day. Regular services resume on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
