Low-Power Radio Station KUBU 96.5 FM Launch Near
The Access Sacramento Board of Director's anticipates a red-ribbon official launch of LPFM radio station KUBU 96.5 FM on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. in a live simulcast broadcast from Access Sacramento's home in the Coloma Community Center. Another landmark piece of the installation puzzle should be completed today when contractor North State Electrical completes power and conduit work at the transmitter site in downtown Sacramento.
 |
A new hole in the five-story roof to pass the cabling through to the KUBU Antenna.
|
The electrical contractor yesterday and today has been installing the piping that will carry the feed line from the transmitter up to the antenna. It's just one of the many steps required before testing of the radio station can begin. Nearly 200 feet of feed line is ready for installation after Access Sacramento Engineer Tim Parish and Radio Coordinator Shane Carpenter begin to install the transmitter and necessary control equipment.
Mark your calendar for Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. for the ribbon-cutting Launch of KUBU. More information in the weeks ahead.
