LiveWire! Host & California Stage Producer Ray Tatar Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Although he won't mention it--we will. Ray Tatar, host of Access Sacramento's Live Wire! program for more than a decade, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Sacramento Area Regional Theater Alliance (SARTA) during the 32nd Annual Elly Awards last week. |

|
Tatar was one of the founders of SARTA and his 2013 California Stage production of "The Vanishing Point" earned an impressive six Elly Awards. Tatar's jovial style and long-time connection to the theater and arts community makes his weekly interviews on Access Sacramento an easy invitation to accept when the show reaches out to publicize and explore the variety of cultural and arts events that rarely get coverage on television. With more than 500 episodes to his credit, his dedication to Access Sacramento is also clear and we are proud to celebrate his "Lifetime" achievement award from SARTA. Congratulations to Ray from all your friends and colleagues at Access Sacramento!

Governor Signs AB 1839 Supports California Film Making
UPDATEGovernor Edmund G. Brown Jr. signed bi-partisan AB 1839 on Sept. 18 in Los Angeles, supporting a television and film tax credit that will make California much more appealing to our nation's filmmakers. |

The credit of $330-million per year for the next five years replaces a current lottery system and instead ranks applicants based on the number of jobs created and other criteria. This support is considered an important step in helping keep movie-making jobs here in California, after a significant move outside of the state by companies seeking better financial support.
