Neighborhood News Bureau Podcast Available on iTunes

Access Sacramento is pleased to announce that

AccessLocal.TV's Youth Podcast is now available

on iTunes.

 Sacpos, AccessLocal.TV's youth produced

podcast, is now available for free in the hugely-popular iTunes store. Sacpos is produced,

hosted, and engineered by the Neighborhood News Correspondents who participate in the

Neighborhood News project.

The youth correspondents are solely responsible

for choosing the topics of discussion and providing the content of each episode. Areas of focus include nutrition, public transportation, dealing with teen depression, and neighborhood resource inequities.

"When I stop to listen to what the young people in

Sacramento are saying about the world around

them, I am constantly surprised at the nuance and

sophistication of their discussion," said Isaac

Gonzalez, Youth Media Coordinator for

AccessLocal.Tv. "This podcast platform allows for a free-flowing dialogue unlike any other I've found

locally. It's a must-listen."

Listeners can find the show and subscribe to

episode by following this link:

Neighborhood News Bureau is Hiring Youth Correspondents

Wanted: Tomorrow's Storytellers

There is so much more going on in the city of Sacramento than what we see on the nightly news. Beyond the crime and the drama, there are the stories of real people making a real difference right now in our neighborhoods and throughout our communities. Those stories more often than not are overlooked, leaving the casual observer with a distorted view of our community.

That's where we come in.

AccessLocal.TV is a website where the people and groups in Sacramento who are working hard to improve our community come together to share our stories. It's the place where your voice counts. It's a place where young people can express their views and be heard. And we're looking for new team members for our Neighborhood News Correspondents program right now.

Are you what we're looking for?

We are looking for young people between the ages of 16-21 who can express their thoughts both with the written word and through other forms of digital media to tell the tale of modern day Sacramento. If this is something you think you can do, and want to be a part this exciting project, contact us today.

For more information send an email to [email protected] today.
