Amateurs and Celebrities Headed to Sacramento Has Talent
The "Sacramento Has Talent" benefit April 10 at The Crest Theatre brags not only some of the Sacramento region's best performers, it also can boast of some high powered help in its Master of Ceremonies and on-stage judges.
The Master of Ceremonies who will both guide the action and also perform on stage is Mayor Christopher Cabaldon from West Sacramento. Cabaldon agreed to host the program, noting that the benefit fundraiser supports Access Sacramento's Neighborhood News Bureau youth training program in journalism.
News 10's Dale Schornack, evening anchor and Emmy Award winning reporter from ABC-affiliate KXTV will let Christina Mendonsa handle the news desk without him in order to be at The Crest for the 7 p.m. show start.
Good Day, Sacramento's Courtney Dempsey will stay up late to join the judging team. Dempsey, a Sacramento State graduate, can be seen on The CW KMAX-31's morning program, weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Celebrity Master Sushi Chef and Restaurateur Taro Arai of Mikuni Sushi will also bring his critical eye to the stage, providing fans his unique perspective on what it takes to be Sacramento Has Talent's top performer.
