McLennan Center Dedication
Alumni, students, and faculty were on hand Nov. 3 to celebrate the dedication of the McLennan Center in Chicago. The center, which opened this fall, allows students to live and study in Chicago for a block. Take a virtual tour of the Center here and see photos of the event here.

Volleyball success
Cornell's volleyball team capped their return to the Midwest Conference with a conference championship and its second consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament. The Rams played perennial powerhouse St. Thomas in the tournament and lost in a five-set heartbreaker.
The Rams placed four volleyball players on the All-Midwest Conference team and swept the two individual awards with junior outside hitter Kathleen O'Connor voted Player of the Year and Jeff Meeker honored as Coach of the Year. O'Connor also made the All-Central region team.

Women's cross-country places two in all-region
Cornell's women's cross-country team put two runners on the all-region team after the NCAA Division III Central Region Championships hosted by St. Olaf. The pair are the first all-region runners in four years. Read more...

Cornellians win elections
A number of people with Cornell College connections did well in elections held Nov. 6. Nancy Kleihauer Adams '64 was re-elected mayor of Pequot Lakes, Minn., Deb Mell '90 was elected to a third term in the Illinois House of Representatives, and Dave Loebsack, professor emeritus of politics, won a third term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Ash is MSU's winningest coach

Young Alumni surpassed their $25,000 goal and raised a total of $27,085 for the Cornell Scholars Program during Young Alumni Giving Month! Next academic year 10 students will receive Young Alumni Scholarships, providing current students with the same extraordinary experiences you had on the Hilltop. Thank you for giving back to Cornell. Collectively young alumni have the power to make a real difference in the lives of students on the Hilltop.
