illustrating beloved children's stories and tales of fantasy with classical elegance for more than 30 years. He collaborates with his wife, Kathleen Hague, on a number of his books. We are delighted to have her here to sign books, as well. Michael's Fairy Tale book, released October 1st (today), will also be available for signing. |

You know him best from his books, A Series of Unfortunate Events written by Lemony Snicket, but they are only 13 of the more than 40 books Brett Helquist has illustrated. From his mysterious graphite work (expected to arrive at the gallery next week) to his lively oil & acrylic paintings, Brett's artwork is expressive and intriguing.

Charm with a dab of quirky wit can be said to describe the illustrations of Molly Idle. Working exclusively with colored pencil, she creates a look that is velvety rich and delicate at the same moment. Getting her start as an animator at DreamWorks, Molly found her love of illustration which feeds her soul.

Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da Here Comes the Sun! Stacy Innerst 's newest book about The Beatles is truly A Day in the Life... and we are fortunate that authors,
Kathleen Krull and Paul Brewer, have Come Together
and will join us to sign books too! (If you missed Fartiste last year, you can get them signed this year.) Stacy's other biographical book illustrations are also wonderfully innovative mixed media creations.

John Parra 's primitive style folk art illustrations are painted in acrylic on board in a technique that creates the feel of yesterday. They call to mind an old mural design, a painting on tin or a clay figurine. Many of John's endearing books are bilingual and portray the rich Hispanic culture.
