"EarthRider" is dedicated to facilitating dual sport/ adventure riders in enriching their riding experiences and enhancing their riding skills. Don't know where to ride? Don't have time to plan a ride? Aren't quite sure how to ride? Don't know anybody to ride with? Come riding with us! The
adventure you join us for might last hours, or it might last days.
Either way, you will always have opportunities to practice riding skills you know, learn one that you don't, meet old friends, and make new ones."

Bright and Shiny at BMWVC!
Already into the first week of October with NEW 2013 BMW's showing up and selling fast! Many new or revised models will be making their debut this month including the F700GS, F800GS, C600 Sport and C650GT.
We just received word that our first Scooter shipment should be here in time for the Open House on October 27th!
Please join us in welcoming Robert Hammersley to the family as the new Parts Manager. With a bachelors degree in Information Technology, five years working in the semiconductor industry and over twenty years in the US Army he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to BMWVC.

Saturday October 27th from 8 am until 3 pm
Come join us for the day as we celebrate the release of the 2013 BMW models. Enjoy product demonstrations, technical seminars, games and trivia drawings for coupons and prizes at our Open House Saturday October 27th. Our Master Certified Service technicians will be performing demonstrations and clinics throughout the day, including throttle body sync, brake system flush, and valve adjustment. Check our website for the demo schedule as we get closer to the event. We are excited to introduce the GS Venture-Club Series - Year of the Ride 2013 from BMWVC, a diverse collection of GS centric rides ranging from easy scenic tours to moderately challenging excursions to near epic multi day adventures! The full details will be announced during the open house, and we will begin accepting pre-registrations. The BMWVC Balance Challenge - Benefiting the Ride for Kids Charity! How slow can you ride your bike? The playground is 30 feet long and 6 feet wide, the challenge is to ride from one end to the other as slow as you can, without dabbing (putting a foot down) while staying within the lines. The grand prize is a brand new BMW Navigator IV GPS! The entry fee is $30 and gives you three timed runs; your best time is recorded for the challenge. All proceeds go to the Ride for Kids Charity! Oktoberfest style food all day long! A great selection of Root Beers will be available as well as a variety of other beverages and an array of Bavarian favorites:

We should have the new BMW Scooters in stock before the end of the month.
Last month BMW Motorrad announced pricing for the new MaxiScooters with the C600 Sport has a base price of $9,590. At this price the C600 will have as standard equipment:

- Flex Case Variable Storage Compartment
- Illuminated Storage Compartment
- Side Stand with Automatic Parking Brake Actuator

The C650 GT has a base price of $9,990 and adds a Stepless Power Adjustable Windshield with Wind Guide Vanes to the standard equipment listed above.

| Adventure Days at Rawhyde | |
What is Adventure Days? Its partly a rally... partly an "Expo"... and it's all about adventure on two wheels.
Nothing like Adventure Days has ever been attempted before and we'd really love your support of the event. There are two ways you can participate - You can join us for all three days as part of our Rally Package in which case you'll get all the classes, all the rides, 8 meals, evening entertainment, and access to the "Dakar Bar" and a whole lot more (for only $249) or... you can come for a single day between the hours of 9 and 5 to visit the vendors and participate in a few classes or clinics for no charge.

If you are a local rider and would like to attend using a "Day Pass" you can pick one up at your local area BMW Dealership or you can get a pass electronically by going to the Adventure Days website and downloading the "day pass voucher" at the bottom of the home page.
Please note that once you've downloaded the day pass, you'll need to confirm your attendance by RSVP. Directions for the RSVP are printed on the ticket. The RSVP will generate an auto response indicating we've gotten your request and we'll send additional information to your email box as it becomes available.

If you just want to have some fun with your bike there will also be so be daily guided rides. If you are looking for an education on any topic related to Adventure Riding you'll find it at Adventure Days.So what is there to do? Let me assure you there's plenty. The rules are simple.
It must have a BMW motorcycle in it, it must be a picture you took and have the legal right to publish and it must be in good taste. One entry per person and the previous month's winner is not eligible. Sorry but we have to keep it fair.
By submitting a picture you are giving BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County permission to publish it on our website, Facebook page and newsletter free of any payment, except for the winner which will be entitled to the BMWVC Hat and $50 Gift Card!
Winner will be announced in the November newsletter and on Facebook.
