MAY, WARM WEATHER AND THREE DAY WEEKENDS BEGIN!

May starts out at BMWVC with a busy first weekend, Cam's Gear-Up Getaway and the LA Ride for Kids event. If you want to join me for the ride down to the Ride for Kids event in Torrance send me an email to let me know, I plan to leave the store at 7am Sunday May 6th.

Also, this month the West Coast debut of the BMW's Continental Divide Ride Movie, Thursday May 10th at 6:00pm right here at BMWVC! More details in this issue.

The May shop rides will include Cam's Gear Up Getaway, Howard's Dual Sport Ride and Don's Street Ride.

BMW's Continental Divide Ride Movie - Presented by Rawhyde

Jim from RawHyde Adventures will be at BMWVC Thursday May 10th at 6:00 PM to show their movie about riding the Continental Divide on BMW GS's.

This epic adventure film chronicles 2,200 miles of motorcycling through the heart of the Rocky Mountains from Helena, Montana to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are proud to be hosting the West Coast debut of this movie which has its roots at BMWVC as many of you have seen the storyboard we had on our wall for several years. This movie was produced by veteran filmaker Sterling Noren.

Jim will also spend some time with our "Dirty Dozen" talking about plans for the 2012 riding season, including the GS Trophy Challenge in Utah. Don't miss this exciting evening about adventure riding.

We will be serving snacks and soft drinks, starting at 6pm. The movie starts at 7pm, and runs about 75 minutes.

Ventura County Off Road Expo - Report

Drawing in nearly 3,000 visitors in it's inaugural year, the Ventura County Offroad Show was a great experience for BMWVC. Meeting many new people, getting involved in the Ventura off road scene and of course introducing the capable BMW Motorcycle line to those in attendance.

EarthRider

"EarthRider" is dedicated to facilitating dual sport/adventure riders in enriching their riding experiences and enhancing their riding skills. Don't know where to ride? Don't have time to plan a ride? Aren't quite sure how to ride? Don't know anybody to ride with? Come riding with us! Th Laine MacTague e adventure you join us for might last hours, or it might last days. Either way, you will always have opportunities to practice riding skills you know, learn one that you don't, meet old friends, and make new ones."

Laine has put together a new schedule of classes for 2012, which you can find on the EarthRider website

May 2012 Photo Contest

The rules are simple.

It must have a BMW motorcycle in it, it must be a picture you took and have the legal right to publish and it must be in good taste. One entry per person and the previous month's winner is not eligible, sorry but we have to keep it fair.

By submitting a picture you are giving BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County permission to publish it on our website, Facebook page and newsletter free of any payment, except for the winner which will be entitled to the BMWVC Hat and $50 Gift Card!

Winner will be announced in the June newsletter and on Facebook.
