Homage to Hilliard: A Celebration of Wheat St. Gardens
After 5 1/2 years at Wheat Street Gardens in the Old Fourth Ward, Truly Living Well is moving to a new, permanent home at its Collegetown Farm in Ashview Heights on Atlanta's Westside. We' re leaving one historic community and moving to another while making history of our own.
"Honestly, the move is wrought with mixed emotions. If you've ever had to leave a place that you've love, I'm sure you can empathize with what we're feeling. There is a mixture of sadness, happy memories, anxiety and excitement. All of it is tempered by the packing blues. However now, we're moving to a permanent location and we are filled with great expectations," said Founder and CEO, K. Rashid Nuri.
Before we leave, join us in paying
Homage to Hilliard on Saturday, April 23 from 8am-2pm. We'll have volunteer opportunities available through Hands On Atlanta, speakers and public figures from the community, and a "People's Parade" through the historic Old Fourth Ward community.
To volunteer, go to the Hands On Atlanta website and register here. For more info about the event click here.
