TRULY LIVING WELL WHEAT STREET GARDENS IS MOVING
For more than a decade Truly Living Well (TLW) has partnered with you to bring fresh, naturally grown food to Atlanta. Through our work we have moved the needle for better health outcomes, jobs creation and political inclusion. TLW is a proud partner of the fresh food movement in Atlanta.
We want you to know that our Wheat Street Garden farm site is leaving the Old Fourth Ward in 2016. We are uprooting 5 acres of produce, fruit trees, green houses, chickens and fish in a move that will give us more space to serve our community. Our new location is in Collegetown on the West End of Atlanta. We will be located on Lawton between Sells and Westview.
After six years in the Old Fourth Ward, we offer our gratitude to our host, the Wheat Street Charitable Foundation, for the vision it took to realize that urban agriculture has the ability to revitalize the community and to you for being a trusted partner.
In order to make our move a success we need your help. After a decade of urban farming in Atlanta, we are committed to ensuring that everyone can exercise their right to healthy food and a sustainable life. As TLW expands so does our mission to grow food, people, and community. We rely upon you to volunteer as farmers, expert movers, and attend our fundraising events over the next few months. In the meantime, our calendar at Wheat Street Gardens is filled with classes and other community activities. And through it all we will continue to host three open air markets a week at the Fire Station in East Point on Wednesdays, Wheat Street Gardens on Fridays and at the Carter Center on Saturdays. We are Truly Living Well. Come help ensure that all of Atlanta is also. Sincerely,
K. Rashid Nuri Founder & CEO
