Unless you watch Fox News you probably did not see coverage of the story about the Democrat National Platform Committee removing God and Jerusalem from the democrat platform!
The Cleveland Plain Dealer gave practically no coverage to the story.
The reason this story is especially important for Ohioans is that the Co-Chair of the Democrat National Platform Committee is Ohio's own: Former Governor Ted Strickland. (Yes, also a former Methodist minister.) Under his leadership the party platform removed all references to God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and he reversed course only after the controversy became public and he was placed under intense pressure and scrutiny.
Watch the video of what happened and view how democrats erupted against God three times and opposed restoring God and Jerusalem to the platform: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMUG_LFJFrU
Call the Cleveland Plain Dealer TODAY and ask them why they are not covering this important story.
The NE Ohio public needs to know about our former Governor's willingness to abandon any reference to faith and God.
Please call the Cleveland Plain Dealer Editor, Debra Adams Simmons, today, right now, to express your feelings on the issue and make sure that the PD speaks out on the matter.
You can reach her at 216-999-4737, or by email at: dasimmon@plaind.com.
The main points are:
- The Plain Dealer barely covered the story of the Democratic platform dispute;
- The Plain Dealer did not reference the fact that a prominent Ohioan, former Governor Strickland, was central to the platform process that led to the omission of any reference to God; and,
- This issue is of interest and importance to the faith communities in Greater Cleveland and elsewhere, and it is unfortunate that they would not fully inform their readers and subscribers on the local involvement in the matter.
Thanks!!
