OGS Spelling Bee 2013 - Registration Deadline Today
Monday, February 4, 3:30 pm, Media Center All students in grades 4 and 5 are invited to participate in the Old Greenwich School Spelling Bee. This is the first step in the National Spelling Bee Competition. Return the 2013 Spelling Bee Form to the blue bin today.
Love Your Media Center Book Drive

Give the perfect Valentine gift this year - a book for the Media Center will last for years to come! Mrs. McHarg has pre-selected books that would be perfect additions to the Old Greenwich School collection. Send the purchase form and check with your child and the Media Center staff will help select a title, or feel free to join your child in the Media Center to review the books.
Incoming Kindergarten Registration Process
- Incoming Kindergarten Parent Orientation, February 26, 9:30 - 10:30 am. Information regarding registration will be given at this meeting.
- Incoming Kindergarten Registration, March 11 - 15, by appointment.
- Incoming Kindergarten Visitation Day, May 16.

PTA
Early Bird Program
The Early Bird Program is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 - 8:30 am for all kindergarten students and older. Parents drop students in the Media Center where they are monitored by OGS staff until the start of school.
Your child may participate on a drop-in basis or on specific scheduled days by returning the registration and waiver forms to the Media Center.

PTA Council Wellness Committee

Eat Your Way Out Of That Cold
To fend off coughs, colds and flu this season, add more fruits and vegetables to your child's meals. The three major antioxidant vitamins are beta-carotine, vitamin C and vitamin E, found in colorful fruits and vegetables - especially those purple, blue, red, orange, and yellow in hue. Don't forget to include plenty of greens, onions, mushrooms (cooked), beans, seeds, nuts and lots of berries to their diets.
