From the Office
Safety and Security Update
The District continues to work with the Greenwich Police Department to review and support safety and security in our schools. As part of this team approach, the Greenwich Police Officers will be visiting schools periodically to check in with principals and conduct walk-throughs of the building. These visits will afford opportunities for the police officers to stay current with safety and security protocols at each school; to become familiar with the physical plant and classroom layout; and to develop a working relationship with each principal. The extra visibility should also help staff, students and parents become more accustomed to the increased police presence. We appreciate the efforts of the Greenwich Police Department in partnering with us to encourage safety and security procedures.

At School
From the Physical Education Department
The gymnastics and adventure units have started in Physical Education. During these units the students work on balance, flexibility, tumbling, strength, teamwork and cooperation through the use of the gymnastics and adventure equipment. It is important that all students wear appropriate and comfortable clothing for their safe participation. Suggested clothing includes:
Sweatpants/warm-up pants Leotards or unitards Pants with an elastic waist Shirts that are comfortable but not too loose! (T-shirts rather than shirts with buttons) Socks must be worn during gymnastics classes No dresses or skirts for girls Although the students will be removing their sneakers for gymnastics, they will still need to bring them for adventure activities. Long hair should be pulled back and secured. It is also important that no jewelry be worn during the gymnastics classes, as it can easily become tangled in clothing. Thank you in advance for your help during these gymnastics and adventure units. These are fun and exciting classes and appropriate dress is essential for safe and full participation!
