Where:  Cave Hill Cemetery (last hiked - Feb. 9, 2002)

Meet:  8:45 AM - Bus departs promptly at 9:00 AM from K-Mart, Breckenridge Lane & Taylorsville Rd.  Return approximately 3:30 PM.

Transportation:  School Bus - $5 per person for all who attend, whether on bus or driving.  Drivers please have cash in envelope with names listed.

Hike:  9:30 AM - Noon

Bus will proceed to Grinstead Drive entrance to Cave Hill Cemetery where the hike will begin.  We will be met by Donnie Lord, who will be our escort.  He knows "stories" & his way around the maze of "solid line", "broken line", "no-line", & "yellow line" roads that can get you really lost, really quick!  If you wish to locate a particular grave site, call the office, 451-5630 to get Section & Plot number.

Bev Cunningham "Tree" Memorial Service:  12:30 PM - 1:00 PM

Bev Cunningham was a very active member of Serenity Hikers since 2004 (12 years).  Her first hike was Iroquois Park on January 10, 2004.  In memory of Bev's life, Serenity Hikers will sponsor the planting of a living tree on the campus of Masonic Homes & The Olmsted, with a bronze plaque staked at its base that reads: 'Honoring the Life of Beverly Cunningham, 1937 - 2016, Serenity Hiker'. The tree chosen is a Klusa Dogwood.  If driving, park around the Olmsted, and gather on the lawn by "Bev's Tree."  We will have an informal ceremony to remember Bev with stories, memories, personal words of wisdom from Bev to us and any anecdote you wish to share.

Meal:  1:30 PM - 3:00 PM at the Bistro located in Club Olmsted (Masonic Home of Louisville), 3701 Frankfort Ave., 502-714-5586.  The menu consists of Spring salad with Granny Smith apples, cranberries & mandarin oranges litely dressed with raspberry vinaigrette dressing; grilled salmon w/lemon dill sauce; wild rice w/portabella mushrooms; grilled squash, zucchini & carrots; dinner rolls; angel food cake w/berry compote (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) & whipped cream; along w/coffee, tea and water.  A specially prepared buffet meal by Chef Angela for our group served in a private dining room! The cost is $15.00 per person (tax & gratuity is paid by Serenity Hiking Club).  Plus, you may bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal!

RSVP:  Pat must receive your check for $20 by Wednesday, June 1, 2016 for event/bus fee and meal.  June 5 is deadline to cancel if you are signed up. If you cancel after June 5, you will owe $15 for the meal.

P.S.  Regarding the need for $100.00 deposit for AR trip - Our Alabama trip income from fees was $9,169,00 & our expenses were $10,255 which left a deficit of $1,086 in the RED.  WE MUST PLUG THIS HOLE OR WE WILL SINK!!
