 Greetings!

Last week I had the honor of speaking at the 10th anniversary of Rev Pat Williamson's tenure at Unity Minneapolis. Rev Pat is a colleague, mentor and friend and I felt blessed to be able to be part of his celebration. There were many accolades and words of gratitude spoken, all heart felt and true. But, the greatness of the church is not the sole responsibility or achievement of the minister. Rather, the relationship between a church and the minister is symbiotic each mirroring and reflecting the consciousness, magnificence, and beauty of the other. The church is nothing but a building without the congregation and the leadership and the consciousness of the minister reflects and magnifies the consciousness of the congregation.

I reflecting on the idea of the symbiotic relationship of the minister and congregation on my way home. I love our community and think we have many great things happening and even greater things to come. Yet, as I look back on my almost three years I see the hands and feet of the wonderful members active and leading the way in all we do. My ego wants to claim the good happening, and the negatives as well. That is my personality screaming for attention while my true higher self acknowledges it is all of us working together to transform lives that creates the unique and powerful community we have. I am blessed to be part of an organization and spiritual community that is making a difference in the lives of so many.

Sunday we turn our service over to the Tibetan community as the visiting monks create a world peace mandala. The Sunday service will be an opening sacred ceremony in preparations for the mandala creation. There will be a pot luck lunch in the Activity Center immediately following the ceremony. After lunch plan to move to the chapel to witness to construction of the mandala.
