 Greetings!

Recently I was talking with Allen Scherer. In the midst of our conversation he reminded me of a very important lesson that is so easy to forget. The lesson was "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day teach a man to fish and he will feed himself for a lifetime." Emilie Cady in Lessons in Truth writes "no one reveal God to another." As a Unity Minister I have to remember that my role is to teach and preach the Truth I know and provide the structures and the avenues of experience for others to discern their own understanding. Each person must find their own path and move through their own experiences to come to that place in consciousness that moves beyond the intellectual understanding to a place of deep inner knowing of the presence.

Part of the ongoing work of Unity of Louisville is to help create the container for the deep spiritual work necessary to get to the place of inner knowing. No one can do the work for another but the structures can be put in place for each person, as they are guided, can follow their own unique individual path. Reflecting on Allen's remark Unity of Louisville through the worship service and the variety of classes, workshops, meditations, ministries, and activities provides the tools necessary to fish the depths of the consciousness to discover and catch their own spiritual food, whatever it may be. Part of the staffs ongoing commitment is to be open and receptive to ideas and suggestions that may provide additional tools or avenues of individual expression and exploration.

This week the new woman's ministry will take the lead for a very special Mother's Day message. Led by Ginny First, Gwen Moser, and Robin Nelson they will deliver a positive and powerful message of the power of the Divine Feminine. Karen Cox will lead the meditation  and Janet Essenpreis and her sister Lisa will provide the special music.
