Greetings!
What a glorious time of year this is. Spring is bursting forth, the trees are in bloom, and there is a freshness in the air. Spring is a time for renewal; physical, emotional, and spiritual. Easter provides the perfect metaphor for resurrecting into the new and Unity of Louisville will support the rebirth in a number of exciting ways.
Staring Monday Rev Val, Rev Ray, and Gwen Moser will be facilitating four classes during SEE week. For anyone interested in pursuing Unity licensure this is an excellent opportunity to add four of the classes required by Unity Worldwide Ministries. Or, simply take the class for fun and connect with other truth students who are seeking to deepen their understanding of spiritual principles. In addition, Rev Val will begin another SEE required course, Lessons In Truth by Emily Cady April 12th. This is a Unity classic and one of the most read and studied books in the Unity library.
New to Unity and want a better understanding of our core teachings? We have two ways for you to begin your studies. The first is the ongoing study of the Quest. The Quest is a 52 week course of study that explores the basic Unity teachings and how they differ from traditional Christianity. The Quest group meets Sunday's before the 11 AM service. For those interested in exploring the possibility of becoming a member of Unity of Louisville. Rev Val, Rev Ray, and Robin Nelson will begin facilitating a new members class starting Sunday April 3rd starting at 9:45 AM.
This week we start a new series based on the work of New York Times best selling author Mike Dooley. Specifically we will draw inspiration from his book Leveraging the Universe: 7 Steps to Engaging Life's Magic. Dooley teaches that "with a true understanding of how the Universal mechanics work, we can start working with them" to manifest the life of your dreams and make life's magic work for you. His main theme which we will continue to weave throughout the series is "thoughts become things-so think good ones." Or, in Unity language thoughts held in mind, persistently and with feeling, will produce after its kind. We are responsible and co-create the reality of the world we live in.
For those interested in delving deeper into Dooley's work Rev Ray will be facilitating a Thursday day class starting April 14th. The class is an excellent opportunity to discuss and wrestle with the main ideas and concepts described in the book and in the Sunday Lesson.
This Sunday Rev Ray will kick off the series. The topic will be understand your power. Gloria Berry and Ginny First will lead the meditation. See you Sunday and Create the world of your dreams.
