  Greetings!

Unity of Louisville as an organization receives a bulk of our income from our Sunday offering. This is typical for a church or spiritual organization. Typically up to 85% of a churches income can come from the Sunday offering. Knowing this the Board is looking at new and creative ways to diversify our revenue streams and are looking for suggestions or new opportunities to generate income.

That said when there is a significant weather event it can have an adverse affect on our operating revenue. For example, this last weekend our Sunday attendance was half of what we would typically have for the White Stone ceremony. I was pleasantly surprised at the number who braved the conditions. This had a significant impact on the offering, as would be expected. This is not an effort to plead poverty rather it is just an opportunity to share what is happening. We are abundant and have plenty to meet our expenses. But, I am going to encourage each person who sees Unity of Louisville as their spiritual home to considered signing up for at least a portion of the offering using committed giving. The committed giving helps us even out the peaks and valley's that occur with the unexpected happenings that affect our attendance.

This week we are honored to host Karen Taylor Good and Stowe Daley as they will provide the music, meditation, and message for the Sunday service. I had the privilege of hearing their TED talk at the annual GLURC conference in the fall of 2014. They deliver and aspirin, heart-centered, and empowering message you will not want to miss.
