  Greetings!

Prayer is the most highly accelerated mind action known. It steps up mental activity until the consciousness synchronizes with the Christ Mind-Charles Fillmore

The beginning of a new year is a time to commit ourselves in thought and action to what we truly believe is important. It is a time to reflect and listen to what Spirit is calling us to. It is the time, as well, when we prepare for our annual Prayer Chaplain training and commitment. Prayer is fundamental to Unity. Along with our Healing ministry, our Oneness Blessors, and Prayer Shawl ministry the Prayer chaplains form one of the four legs of the Pastoral ministries of Unity of Louisville.

The Prayer Chaplain Program is based on God/Spirit as our source. The affirmative prayer of Unity affirms our wholeness, health, abundance, and serenity as our natural state. Our Prayer Chaplains, grounded in this truth, are trained to acknowledge the facts but to affirm the deeper truths and hold the high watch. There are time in my own life when I need to hear the words of another to remind me of what I know is true but have forgotten.

If you believe being a Prayer Chaplain is your next calling or you would simply like more information there will be an information session on January 10th after the 11 AM service. ON January 17th there will be a prayer workshop open to everyone who is interested in a deeper understanding and experience of affirmative prayer. There are Prayer Chaplain brochures in the hospitality areas.

What a Prayer Chaplain does
Hold sacred space
Listen with the ears of their heart
Pray with everyone who seeks prayer
Hold the confidence of those seeking prayer.

Burning Bowl
Burning Bowl
This Sunday is our annual Burning Bowl ceremony. A new year is a time to reflect on thee past and the Burning Bowl ceremony provides us a ritual opportunity to release those thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve us. Join Rev Val and Rev Ray in this powerful ritual of release. Fran Delaney (Harp) will provide the special music.

Joys and Concerns

We hold Kim Summers sisters, nieces, and nephew in healing prayer as they recover from a car accident. We know the healing power of God is supporting, comforting, and healing them now.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Todd Brandon. We know life is eternal and that the compassionate love of God now supports and comforts his family and friends. Visitation is Wednesday December 30th from 5-7 PM at the Kraft Funeral Home-708 E Spring St in New Albany. A memorial service, facilitated by Gerry Boylan, will follow at 7 PM. The Family has requested memorial gifts be made to Unity of Louisville or the Floyd County Salvation Army.
