Greetings!
As I prepare for the Sunday Coming Home to Unity celebration I am humbled as I reflect on the quality and character of the ministers and spiritual leaders that preceded me at Unity of Louisville. I wonder how I measure up to those that came before me and who I hold in such high regard and respect. I recognize this is one of my shadows that I must constantly be conscious of; wondering if I measure up. Yet I notice and listen to my own teaching and set this aside and simply honor the collective wisdom and spiritual maturity that this blessed community has always shown and that I am blessed to be part of. As Rev Val often points out we are not following the herd but rather we are in the front helping to lead Unity and New Thought into ever greater levels of spiritual transformation.
I hope everyone is able to make it Sunday as we bring back many of our past leaders and take time to acknowledge the giants on whose shoulders we stand today. There will be a time for sharing and community following the service as we celebrate 105 years of Unity. Phillip Crowther and Lisa Wilbanks will provide special music. Donna Dalton has written a special song she will share with us and the entire music team will be on hand to lead the congregational songs. Many of the past and present Spiritual leaders will be on hand to share what Coming Home to Unity means to them. Jacque Saltzman will lead our meditation.
