I was in a training once and when we walked into the room there was tape on the floor making the room into a smaller box. This was the area we stayed in and did our work. Everyday when we came in, this was a five day workshop, the size of the box defining the outlines of the room we were to work in was bigger. Finally, on the last day the trainer explained that that this was much like life. We are all in a box of our own creation. Even when we stretch ourselves and step outside the box we are in a new box.
As I prepare for this weeks talk I am reminded that while I am in the box I feel safe and comfortable. The world is known and my expectations are easily met. Yet, as I reflect, I do not feel I/we came into this life to only feel comfortable. We came to experience the fullness of our true Divine nature and to do this I need to always be aware of the box I have created and what I need to do and be to step outside the confines of the walls. When I do this I will create anxiety and often times fear because I no longer can predict and control not only the outcomes but my own feelings. Part of my journey is learning how to be comfortable with a level of anxiety. Change and anxiety never has killed me but you would never know it by how I some times resist any change and how inviting the safety of the box looks to me.
This week we continue our journey with the untehered soul by exploring the principle of "going beyond." Rev Ray will provide the message, Rev Val will lead the meditation, and Carly Johnson & Diego Lyra will provide the special music.

 The Quest is a 52 week course of self discovery. Whether you are new to the spiritual journey or a long time traveler the Quest will guide you into a deeper understanding of Unity principles and spiritual truths. This class is a drop in class. Join us Sundays at 9:45 and make connections and explore in a open and safe environment your own and others spiritual understanding.
