I did a workshop once where we sought to discover what our deepest held dream was. This is not things but rather a state of being that we sought to live in and through. I discovered the state of being I desired above all else was freedom. Freedom to think, choose, and be who I wanted. I sought the freedom to make my own mistakes, and I have made plenty, and be responsible and accountable for those mistakes because they were mine; I owned them. I could go on about the shadows I have discovered that are the root source of desire for freedom but will leave that for another day.
If I am not going to explore the source of my desires why did I bring it up you may ask. This week as we continue our series the untethered soul Rev Val will explore the chapter on freedom. To achieve true freedom we must decide that we no longer want to suffer. When we become aware of the voices in our head and embrace the change that is always present we will discover the many blocks to peace and freedom that exists only in our mind. Plan to attend Sunday, read the text, take part in one of our home study groups, and begin to learn how to free yourself from what is holding you from the good.
In addition to Rev Val providing the message, Rev Ray will lead the meditation, and Colette Delaney will provide the special music.
Special note. Saturday from 1-4 PM Dottie Russell and Chelley Rouda will lead a mask making workshop. Dottie facilitated this at the recent Unity retreat. Perfect for Halloween or just for fun. This is a great creative expression. Cost is $25 includes all the materials needed to make your own unique mask.

The Quest: A Journey of Spiritual Rediscovery

 The Quest is a 52 week course of self discovery. Whether you are new to the spiritual journey or a long time traveler the Quest will guide you into a deeper understanding of Unity principles and spiritual truths. This class is a drop in class. Join us Sundays at 9:45 and make connections and explore in a open and safe environment your own and others spiritual understanding. The class will be facilitated by a variety of Unity teachers and spiritual leaders.

HOSPARUS will conduct an information session for those who may be interested in serving with this organization.. Hosparus is for patients who choose to have the best quality of life possible till the end of life. Each patient and family receives care and counseling from a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers.
