9 am Unity Prayer Service
 11:00 am Sunday Celebration Service

Greetings!

Recently I was having a conversation with Alan Scherer and he reminded me that one of the most effective ways to deepen our connections to others in the community and our understanding and relationship with Spirit is to take a class or participate in one of our small group activities. Coming this fall this fall there are a number of different classes to choose from and I will just briefly mention a couple of them.

The first is our new member class. This is a class not only for new people trying to discern if this is a community they would like to join but for anyone interested in deepening their understanding of Unity theology. Topics include the history of New Thought and Unity, prosperity, prayer, and healing. This is a great class for the newcomer and long time member to get to know others, get your questions answered, and your answers questioned.

The second opportunity is to participate in a home study group during our fall program. This year we are studying the book An Untethered Soul. Small group book studies are an ideal way to deepen the conversation we start with the Sunday lesson. Groups are forming now and materials to support the study are provided.

Finally, Rev Ray will be facilitating the prosperity class Keys to the Kingdom. This is a seven week interactive class exploring the principles of prosperity. Prosperity from a Unity perspective is health, serenity and peace of mind, healthy nurturing relationships, and material wealth. If you would like more of these things in your life please prayerfully consider signing up and participating.

This Sunday we conclude our series on the parables of Jesus with one of the best known parable the Prodigal Son. Rev Ray will provide the lesson, Robin Nelson will lead the meditation, and Kathleen Hoye will provide the special music.

The Untethered Soul is a new York Times bestseller and aligns with Unity principles and has been endorsed by Deepak Chopra, Jean Houston, and Yogi Amrit Desai. The book is about "freeing ourselves from the limitations and soaring beyond our self imposed boundaries." It is an exploration of inner space. Joel Goldsmith reminds us that we live at the juncture between two worlds-inner and outer-and that by exploring the inner we transform the outer-ourselves and our relationships with others.

Chapel with Rev. Ray Nelson
Keys to the Kingdom is designed to help your students identify and change their limited beliefs about abundance, happiness, and success. This is not a course about simply getting more money or material things. It is actually a guide to developing a higher level of spiritual awareness.  The program leads to an understanding of the spiritual foundation of true abundance and creating a life in greater harmony with spiritual law and to strengthen your spiritual community by helping your students see the relationship between their spiritual growth and their participation in their spiritual community.
