9 am Unity Prayer Service
 11:00 am Sunday Celebration Service

Greetings!

One of the things I have learned from all the different prosperity programs is the importance of being specific. This was brought home in a very clear fashion this week. We are at the point where we have to do some upgrades on our technology. What we have, while functional, is close to being out of date and no longer supported with ongoing security updates. The decision was made that if we were going to spend the money to look at our providers and contracts to see if we could negotiate a better or cost effective deal.

We were intentional in our efforts in reviewing our present contracts. We were clear on what our needs were, or so we thought. But what we really were not clear on was what we were actually asking out of our providers. The decision was made to switch technology companies. The problem was since we were not specific of what we were asking or what we needed we ran into some unexpected problems that could have been avoided.

There is a big difference between a hardware company and an IT support provider. The decision to switch to a company whose expertise and skill set is hardware installation when in reality we need a software IT support team caused some drama, to say the least. In the end we probably got a better deal on the installation but had to make the decision to, quickly, to make a switch to get the ongoing IT support we need. We did negotiate a better service contract in the end so in some ways our end goal was met. But, with clear intention and specificity we could have saved a couple of headaches and a little drama. Great lesson. When the student is ready to learn a lesson the teacher will arrive to provide the curriculum.

This week our Sunday message will be provided by Martha Creek. Have you had enough guilt and shame to last you the rest of your life? God knows all of you and never judges. Lay your burden down.  Accept what you cannot control or change for your own sake. Take action to change what you can and avoid worry energy. No more waiting.  Special music: Phillip Crowther. Martha will facilitate a workshop, "Set Yourself Free", after the 11 am service. You will not want to miss either of these transformative events.
