9 am Unity Prayer Service
 11:00 am Sunday Celebration Service

Greetings!

On Saturday March 21st 30 members of the congregation got together and participated in a workshop facilitated by Rev Judy Grimes; Creating Intentional Spiritual Community; Discovering our Core Values, our Mission, and our Vision. Together we discovered and created a new mission and vision guided by our core values to guide the Unity of Louisville into the future. Now we would like your comments and feedback.

Each person in attendance on Sunday the 22nd was given a form and the opportunity to provide us with their feedback and comments on the mission and vision created. They were asked to rate the results on a 1-10 scale. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. If you score the mission or vision as less then 8 we would ask to include words or comments that would bring the score up. In addition if you scored the mission or vision as 8-10 your comments or suggestions are desired as well.

We want everyone to have an opportunity to provide feedback. Below are our new proposed mission, vision, and core values. Please take the time to read them over and if you choose reply and we will add your voice to the process. So far 95 people have given us their feedback and the Possibilities Team and Board of Trustees will take all the comment into account before presenting the final statement to the congregation.

Core Values: Empowering, Inclusive, Spiritual Journey, Prosperity, and Compassion

Vision: Unity of Louisville is an inclusive, compassionate community celebrating Oneness and infinite spiritual possibilities.

Mission: We transform ourselves and the world through living the Unity Principles and empowering personal spiritual practices.

We look forward to your comments and suggestions. Together we boldly are creating our future.

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. This is the last step on a journey that began with Advent and the preparation and birth of the Christ Consciousness. We take this final step and enter the city of peace, Jerusalem. We take this step knowing there will be resistance but knowing the time has come to release the past and resurrect into a new awareness, the awareness of our true Christ nature. The speaker this week is Rev Ray, the meditation will be facilitated by Jacque Saltsman, and the special music Shawn Gallaway. You can check out Shawn on our web site with a link to his YouTube songs.

Saturday, March 28, 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Becoming a Mystic Warrior for Our Times

In his latest book, Meister Eckhart: A Mystic Warrior for our Times, Matthew Fox explores the idea that in order to respond to the needs of this moment in history we must become "Mystic Warriors."

Such a transformation will require us to go deep - "deep where the joy resides; where the darkness, pain and grief cry to us; where creativity is unearthed; where the passion for justice and compassion return again."

In addition to examining perspectives and tools for developing the depths of our personal compassion, this workshop will also explore the possibilities for justice-making that exist for the broader community in committing to "going deep."

Our exploration will be experienced through the powerful lens of the four paths of the Creation Spirituality tradition as articulated by our workshop's guide, theologian Matthew Fox.

The program will include a series of presentations from Matthew, corresponding processing opportunities facilitated by Cultivating Connections' Mark Steiner, topped off with the music and insight of the wonderful kRi and Hettie.
