9 am Unity Prayer Service 11:00 am Sunday Celebration Service
Greetings!
Unity of Louisville is currently in the midst of a process designed to redefine our collective culture and create the ownership and leadership to guide the actions and programs that are identified as important. On February 21st from 9 am to 3 pm the entire Unity of Louisville is invited to attend and participate in the next step in the process Honoring our Past-Creating our Future Process facilitated by Rev Judy Grimes.
This meeting is an opportunity for everyone to participate in telling the story of our church and understand our past, recent events, and issues linked to our journey to become an authentic community. Unearth the rituals, heroes, networks and guiding beliefs and assumption that for the fabric of our blessed community. We need to embrace our past as a means of rediscovering who we are as a community committed to being a cohesive, values driven, and principle-based organization.
Some of you may say we've been there and done that and you are right you have. I could not be more please with what has been undertaken and developed prior to my arrival. It is only through the committed efforts of the staff and congregation that we are, I believe, one of the jewels of the Unity movement. But, like all people and organizations we must continue to evolve and seek what we are being called to now. We are all on a spiritual evolutionary journey and our responsibility is to engage our evolution with commitment, vision, and collective action.
Recently is an article by Rev Dr Lovett Weems Director of Church Leadership at the Wesley Theological Seminary wrote that it took the developers of WD40 forty tries before perfecting their formula, hence the 40 in the product name. The questions then how many times are we willing to engage the process of discovering and redefining what and who we are. It is well known and documented that organizations, and churches are no exception, must continue to grow or they will begin the slow process of dying. You are invited to add your voice, concerns, and energy in this interactive creative process. Lunch will be provided. Please sign up so materials and lunch can be prepared ahead of time.
Have you ever asked the question or wondered what exactly the oneness blessers are doing? I have. In an effort to answers any questions you may have we are dedicating this weekend as oneness weekend. Our oneness blessers will be participating in a deepening process and Rev Val will be speaking on oneness, what it means, and what the role of the oneness blesser is. Phil Crowther will provide the special music. Hope to see you Sunday

Unity of Louisville's 9:00 AM Prayer ServiceEach Sunday morning at 9 am, Rev. Ray or Rev. Valerie lead the congregation through a quiet meditative experience.
We begin by becoming present to the Now moment and connecting with God, then we move to affirm the peace within our self, we ask for Divine guidance, we affirm our wholeness, then affirm our prosperity, and realize a World at Peace.
In between these affirmative statements and readings we have a time to rest and contemplate, at the end of the service we go into the silence to listen to the still small voice.
We say Thank You God, for all that we give and receive.
We invite you to join us each week for this amazing spiritual journey of Oneness.
