"Create in me a clean heart, O God;

And renew a right spirit within me." (Psalms (51:10)

         The year has come to an end. We have had many experiences, held many beliefs, and had many thoughts. They may have brought us joy and peace or possibly pain and suffering. At some level everything was manifest in our lives because it filled a need and purpose. When I was early in recovery moving through the 12 steps I had to come face to face with many actions, words, and beliefs that I did not want to look at. But, we teach all things work for our good. As one of my early spiritual teachers taught me, "I was doing the best I could based on who I was. If I could have done it better or different I would have."

         We prepare this weekend for our annual burning bowl ceremony. This is a time for reflection upon the past and a willingness to release everything that no longer serves you. We celebrate the New Year as we prepare for a new beginning. The Christ has been birthed in you. Your awareness continues to deepen. In the coming days I encourage you to take an honest look at the beliefs and actions of the past. This is not to create negative thoughts or conditions but as a way to prepare you for what you are releasing. The first step is to shine the light within and then joyfully release everything that stands in the way of your true nature and your ability to express the Christ light.
