Greetings!

The Christmas Eve candle lighting service Wednesday is one of my favorite services of the year. I love coming together to sing the familiar songs, listen to an inspirational message, and especially lighting the candles as we close the season by singing Joy to the World. I am especially excited as this year in addition to the candles we are going to have the serenity lights shining during our closing ceremony.

I remember once when Robin joined me in Kansas City at Unity Village for the Christmas holiday. A friend who had just taken a church was having her first Christmas Eve service. We drove over to Kansas and attended the service. After the service we immediately drove back to the Village and attended the Village Chapel service facilitated by my old minister Rob Robinson. Finally, we went out to dinner and drove over to Overland Park for their mid-night service. As you can see I was not kidding when I wrote I love this service.

Please plan to join Rev Val and myself as we explore the metaphysical meaning of the Christmas story. The meditation will be led by Robin Nelson and the music and hymns will be led by the Voices of Joy. Come celebrate the birth of the Christ in you as we prepare for a new awakening.

This Sunday we conclude the Advent season with Peace. Join Rev Gerry Boylan as he explores how peace can break out when enough minds and hearts join together with one idea. Dotti Russell will lead the meditation and the special musical guest is our own Phil Crowther.

Our 9th annual Winter Solstice Sacred Celebration at Unity of Louisville honors the beauty, wonder and mystery of the longest of nights with quiet reflection, music, ceremony, story and poetry. You, and yours, are invited to join us for this spiritually inclusive community gathering facilitated by Mark Steiner along side kRi and Hettie and Unity's own Rev. Ray Nelson.

Cultivating Connections' Sacred Celebrations are designed to offer an opportunity to strengthen our awareness of the sacredness of creation and to nurture our connections to each other and the natural world. Sacred Celebrations are a cooperative effort by artists, spiritual leaders, and activists to share relevant and nurturing experiential celebrations with the broader community.

Sacred Celebrations are offered without a fee
though donations are very much appreciated.

A personal mission statement provides "clarity and gives you a sense of purpose". It defines who you are and how you live.
