9 am Healing & Prayer Service
 11:00 am Sunday Celebration Service

Greetings!

During my time of healing I had a lot of time to reflect on our current book study. In the beginning Brene writes of the three important characteristics of wholehearted persons; courage, compassion, and connection. I am not sure I ever got the connection. I was taught from the earliest age, much to the bane of my parents, to speak my truth. As time went on I learned to add compassion and empathy to my speaking. But, the importance of connection seemed to elude me.

Estranged from my family for many years, I developed friendships but never put a lot of effort into connection unless convenient or easy. I was as if people came and went and I did not place a lot of importance on the continuity of the relationship. When my current health challenge arose and I posted to Facebook my situation I was amazed at the outpouring of support and prayers that continue to come my way. I was amazed at the number of people I have touched in my life. Many of the comments brought tears to my eyes.  I have found that support essential in helping me keep my spirits up and my attitude positive.

I have found to be connected is a practice and a discipline. If I want connection I have to stay connected. I continue to work on my shadow of self worth and worthiness, knowing this is the barrier to my connections. As in all things spiritual this is not always easy but the rewards are so great I continue the practice. I appreciate each of you reading this and your continued support. May you be at peace and live a life of joy.
