Greetings!
Today is World Day of Prayer. I was reflecting on this years theme "You are the Light of the World-Let your Light Shine" while sitting in the silence in our prayer chapel. We are a loving, compassionate, and empathetic community. Many of our members take the lead in various organizations and causes they are passionate about. We shine our light brightly throughout the community and the world. For the consciousness of giving and service that permeates the very fiber of our being I am grateful. As World Day of Prayer kicks off the Compassionate Louisville games let us lead the way not just with our words and actions but in our willingness to share all we do with the world.
I invite each of you to be a passionate advocate for the causes you believe. Take pictures, post them on Facebook, send them to the church for us to post on our site and through our accounts. Let the world know who we are. Shine your light brightly and let the world see us shine. I love you, I bless you, I appreciate you and I behold the Christ light shining in each of you.

New Member Class

This class, facilitated by Rev. Valerie Mansfield and Rev. Ray Nelson, will gives basic understanding of Unity's history, terminology and viewpoint relating to the 12 powers, healing, prosperity, and the Bible. Love offering donations accepted. |
Come in and light a candle, create your prayer list and join with liked minded people world wide. Our chapel will be opened every half hour from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm for you to join in the prayer vigil at your convenience. If you prefer to pray through movement the labyrinth will be set up in the Annex Building for you to move and contemplate, journal and rest. Then during the Evening Celebration Prayer Service at 7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary Rev. Ray Nelson, Rev. Valerie Mansfield, Cheri Makeda and Fred Bogert and the Faith Forward Choir come together to worship in an interfaith service of prayer and song.

Join us at the Unity Women's Group on Thursday, Sept. 25th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for an experiential and interactive workshop that will assist you in finding your voice and speaking your truth. Community Outreach
 Stand Down / Project Homeless Connect
This year Unity of Louisville will be supporting the Stand Down / Project Homeless Connect by collecting toiletries, personal care items, towels, socks, underwear, winter coats for men, women and children. Items will be collected now through October 5th in the Social Room. Let's join together to help those in our neighborhood with "A Hand Up".
Stand Down / Project Homeless Connect provides an opportunity in which agencies and other interested volunteers can develop a more cohesive network through aggressive outreach to those living on the streets who other side would not seek or receive assistance.

Unity International ConnectionsPower of Prayer Project
The projects purpose is to serve as a connecting agent to support the creation of beneficial relationships within the Unity movement and to allow UWM member to identify and share actions and resources that will result in greater good for Unity ministries, leadership and the Unity movement world wide.
Unity of Louisville's international Prayer Partner is Sr, Rev. Okon Ebony, the Community Spiritual Renewal Center, Akpen Obong Uyo, Akwalbom, Nigeria.
