Greetings!
Thursday September 11th Unity and Unity of Louisville will celebrate the 21st annual World Day of Prayer. This year theme is "We Are the Light of the World: Let Your Light Shine."
The annual World Day of Prayer, according to a press release from Unity World Headquarters, gives us an opportunity to come together in celebration of our oneness with God, each other, and our world. Through prayer we foster peace and wholeness in our community and in our individual lives."
Unity of Louisville will have many activities going on this day and invite everyone to participate. To begin there will be prayer slips in the Sunday bulletin for you to add your name or the names of loved ones you would like to be included in the 24 hour prayer vigil. The Chapel will be open all day. Come in light a candle and stay for a time in quiet contemplation. There will be a Labyrinth in the activity Center. We will conclude the evening with a special prayer and meditation service in the Sanctuary featuring Fred Bogert and the Faith Forward choir.
Let your light shine and play your part in helping to bring peace to a troubled planet. Prayer works.

 Metaphysics 1 - Part 2 Tue, August 26 - September 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Join Rev. Valerie Mansfield in exploring some of the fundamental Principles of Spiritual Law and how you can apply them in your life. Class is offered for Unity Spiritual Education and Enrichment credit. Come in and light a candle, create your prayer list and join with liked minded people world wide. Our chapel will be opened every half hour from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm for you to join in the prayer vigil at your convenience. If you prefer to prayer through movement the labyrinth will be set up in the Annex Building for you to move and contemplate, journal and rest. Then during the Evening Celebration Prayer Service at 7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary Rev. Ray Nelson, Rev. Valerie Mansfield, Cheri Makeda and Fred Bogert and the Faith Forward Choir come together to worship in an interfaith service of prayer and song.

 Fall Book Study Program September 28 - November 9
This year we will be studying "The Gifts of Imperfection"by Brené Brown, Ph. D. Book are $15 and are available in the Social Room on Sunday's or from the office during the week.
