A modern version of ever-present Shakespearian Macbeth reduced into three characters: Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and the Joker. In Italian.
Winner of the Critic Award at the International Theater festival, Jordan.
Dear KIT Friends,

We are back! We took a very short break from everything after In Scena! Closing Nigth (see photos below) on June 24. It was a very nice conclusion of 20 days of theater, smiles, happiness and Italian culture and language! In its second edition, the Festival went very well, beyond my dreams.

I can say now that
In Scena! has some very unique traits:
1. it brings Italian theater to communities that otherwise would never encounter Italian culture, and especially theater;
2. it educates about our culture, language and country;
3. it presents high quality theater;
4.  it creates an international network of artists and presenters;
5. it unveils to the US audience new plays, new actors, new themes.

Can I be happier? Can we be more proud? Probably... yet, believe me, we are already very satisfied with what we have and grateful for all the sponsors and co-presenters that believe in us.

So, it is with extreme pride that I announce that In Scena! 2015 is already in the making and that the Festival will be dedicated to PIER PAOLO PASOLINI. In September we'll be making the first official announcements.

These days I am/we are:
1. Working with TIN-TEATRO ITALIANO NETWORK, KIT consultant division, on CLAN MACBETH, an Italian show opening on July 26 at the Midtown International Theater Festival. Check the link for the show and come to the theater! it's an Italian version of Macbeth... very intriguing!

2. Creating KIT 2014-25 season. We have already some events lined up, more details coming soon... just know that Decameron and Mandragola will be back as well as Professor Margherita and some new productions.

3. Organizing the first International Theater Lab in Italy together with KIT Italia. The series is called CollaborAZIONI and it's going to have two appointments:
August 25-September 12 PIZZO CALABRO --- September 15-October 12 ROMA
Check below for more information!

Have a Very Happy Summer everyone!

CollaborAZIONI

Pizzo Calabro August 25-September 12

Roma, Teatro Due, September 15-October 12

In 2011 I have created with 11 directors from 9 different countries the World Wide Lab, a group dedicated to the idea of collaboration between artists, especially directors. The experience has been extremely helpful art wise and for Laura as a person.

This is why I have decided to explore further this kind of collaboration with CollaborAZIONI  (Collaboration in Action). KIT Italia and Kairos Italy Theater have joined forces to bring such great experience to Italy.

We start on August 25 in Pizzo Calabro with a collaboration between Orly Noa Rabinyan, a director from Tel Aviv, and Rosario Mastrota, a playwright from Calabria. The result will be shown September 12 in Pizzo and on October 6 in Roma.
WE ARE SEARCHING FOR 4 ACTORS FROM CALABRIA

TO JOIN THE PROJECT. DEADLINE JULY 30.

Learn more, check the application and apply!

The other event starts in Roma on September 15.
Here, 12 directors will collaborate and direct 10 Italian actors.

We are looking for:

 - 6 actors from all over the world to join the project in Rome.

- Set designers and Costume designers.

DEADLINE JULY 30.
