Dear Friends,
I am very happy to announce the first show of a series dedicated to CLASSIC ITALIAN PLAYS. For 'Classic', I mean important plays of our literature, written by some of the most famous and brilliant authors we had in the far past.
We start with La Mandragola by Niccolo' Machiavelli. I am sure many of you have heard of Machiavelli and La Mandragola. For many those names are linked to school-days, to homework and to studying to get good grades. (we are still struggling on the last name: Machiavelli or Macchiavelli?)
I am also very happy to announce that this series will be acted by our young division, the YOUNGKIT! They are young and very talented, as you'll be able to see yourself by coming to the show.
We are also starting working on In Scena! 2014 and not only. This is why we are asking you to donate to KIT. All the programs you are enjoying and that make you loving us so much have costs that we cannot afford without your support. This is why we cannot stress enough the importance of every single -small or big- donation. GRAZIE.
I hope then you'll join us for our first appointment of this new series on classical plays on December 9th. Details below... see you soon!

With The Mandrake Root, KIT inaugurates a series of shows focused on highlighting the great tradition of Italian theater, re-interpreted by a younger generation, the YoungKIT.
The Mandrake Root is a satirical play by the author of
The Prince, Niccolò Machiavelli. Although the five-act comedy was published in 1524 and first performed in the carnival season of 1526, Machiavelli likely wrote The Mandrake Root in 1518 to be most likely performed at the wedding of Duke Lorenzo de' Medici and Maddalena de la Tour d'Auvregne.
KIT is reviving this seldom produced play with its young division, the YoungKIT. The production will feature only 6 actors, a handful of props and a few costumes, and Machiavelli masterpiece translated into English while retaining some elements of the original version.

Making theater is beautiful, but not cheap. We love to continue to make programs you can appreciate and enjoy.
To do that, we need a lot of support. You can:
1. Spreading the word about our work;
2. Bringing your friends to see our shows;
3. Buy tickets for our performances;
4. Send sponsors and supporters our way;
5. Support yourself by making a tax deductible donation.
It's very important for us. We can't do it without you. Really.
Grazie from the entire KIT family
