"This offers a slightly exotic touch on the nose with rosewater, litchi and juniper berry wrapping some fresh and spicy pear and grapefruit. The wine is nicely clean on the palate, with a delicate touch of whipped cream balancing out some firm acidity in the spicy finish."

"A clear touch of volatile acidity gives way to rosewater, spicy and herbs on the nose. The wine is quite appealing on the palate, with a great overtly
aromatic side making it enjoyable in a direct and easy style. There is plenty of upside potential if it manages to tame the volatile side with age."

"This Spätlese was harvested at 87° Oechsle from the old vines (planted in the 1950s-1960s) in the Elisenberg. It offers very elegant scents of white minerals, white mint, white and yellow peach, pineapple and grapefruit on the nose. What makes this quite irresistible is the gorgeously side on the palate, being at the same time nicely ripe, elegant and fresh. A gorgeous touch of whipped cream adds finesse to the long and mouth-watering finish. This a terrific effort, with plenty of upside potential! 2024-2044"

Max Ferdinand Richter

Situated in the heart of the Mosel's finest vineyards, the Max Ferdinand Richter estate has been in the family for over 300 years. The family owns 48 acres of priceless vines on the magnificent stretch of the river between Erden and Brauenberg including all the best sites: Graacher Himmelreich, Wehlener Sonnenuhr and Brauenberger Juffer and Richter's monopole Veldenzer Eilsenberg. This is quite literally an embarrassment of riches.

Richter's vines are sustainably farmed; all grapes are handpicked, fermented and matured in neutral oak casks. The wines tend to deliver toward the rich end of the spectrum, often seeming a Pradikat higher than the stated level on the bottle. This richness is balanced with remarkable freshness and minerality. Aromatic, juicy, and stony when young, these wines are capable of significant cellaring (3 decades or more)!

These magnums look spectacular! Few bottles look as dramatic on a table as a Hock bottle Magnum. Perfect for so many occasions - Holiday dinners (both poultry and ham), Asian cuisine, choucroute and beautiful summer days.
