The Milan family owns 6 ha of Grand Cru vineyards from which they bottle beautifully pure wines from the heart of the Cotes de Blancs. The family has produced champagne since 1864, but have grown fruit for some rather prestigious estates, most notably Krug, in their history. In fact Henri and his son Jean started pressing grapes for Krug, which is how they learned to make champagne.  It is awfully tough to top this kind of training in Champagne!  

Today the estate operates under the Négociant-Manipulant (NM) designation rather than the Récoltant-Manipulant (RM), but they are still grower Champagne to the core. They purchase a small amount of fruit from family and trusted friends, but only from the Grand Cru Village of Oger to maintain the terroir reflective wines that the estate has always produced.
