Max Ferd. Richter Magnums

"This is a very fine collection of wines. These show quite some richness for their respective

Prädikat levels but what remains fascinating is the purity and elegance of the wines as well as their freshness.

"Made from 100 year old vines, this very elegant and fine wine offers telltale flavours of Wehlener Sonnenuhr with ripe yet fine flavours of grape, flower of apricot tree and yellow peach. The fruit is clearly of Auslese ripeness as more exotic notes (such as quince and pineapple) come through with airing. The lovely mouth-coating structure is full of sappy and juicy yellow fruits. This is a superb wine which will need some time to find its inner balance."

"The creamy white peach, apricot and guava flavors are accented by notes of basil and thyme in this expressive style. The minerally finish features hints of ripe gooseberry and blood orange, with a lacy texture. Drink now through 2035."

"Rather reductive in style, this opens up to ripe notes of fruits, brown sugar and some floral elements. The smooth fruits as well as the ripe and juicy structure give this wine Spatlese weight and richness. Yet delicious notes of cherry and peach in the finish make this nice wine easy to enjoy."

About Max Ferd. Richter

The Max Ferdinand Richter estate has been in the Richter family for over 300 years. The original Baroque Family house from 1774 still stands today! Situated in the heart of the Mosel the estate has holdings of 40 acres including some of the region's very best sites: Graacher Himmelreich, Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Brauneberger Juffer and Richter's monopole Veldenzer Eilsenberg.

All grapes are handpicked and the wine is fermented and matured in neutral oak casks.  These are spectacularly focused and pure Rieslings. The value found here is exceptional.
