The Story:
Domaine de la Mordorée's goal is simple - to create the greatest wine possible. With their combination of top vineyards, quality vines and commitment to the environment, they have done just that. This estate has almost single handedly raised the reputation of the Lirac AOC, an often overlooked appellation that shares the same soils as Châteauneuf-du-Pape just across the Rhône River. The galet stones that make Châteauneuf so famous can also be found here, just as they are on the opposite bank of the Rhône. Despite all the praise from the wine press Christophe and Fabrice Delorme rarely speak about awards or ratings, instead speaking most humbly about the lands they are blessed with and what it means to be a 'wine grower'.

The deep commitment to the philosophy espoused in these statements shines through in Domaine de la Mordorée. Their wines are now among the greatest being produced in the Southern Rhône. Happily they are also amongst the greatest values.
